Supporting Older Foster Youth Act

This legislation seeks to modernize the John H. Chafee Foster Care Program for Successful Transition to Adulthood, aiming to better meet the needs of older youth transitioning out of foster care. A core provision of the bill is to significantly increase the program's annual funding, amending the Social Security Act to raise the allocation from the current $143 million to $163 million for each fiscal year .
