It would also focus on workforce development by supporting the hiring of culturally competent behavioral health specialists and training healthcare providers. A critical provision prohibits the sharing of any data collected by this Office with federal immigration law enforcement agencies. Furthermore, the bill authorizes grants for trauma-informed mental health services, crisis counseling, and public awareness campaigns in impacted communities. These grants can also support the integration of multilingual, trauma-informed mental health services with healthcare provided by local educational agencies.
