Secure Aluminum Supply Chains Act

This bill, known as the Secure Aluminum Supply Chains Act, directs the United States International Trade Commission to conduct a comprehensive review of the national and economic security risks posed by the exportation of aluminum scrap from the United States to designated countries of concern. These countries include the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Within 180 days of enactment, the Commission must submit a report to Congress detailing the findings of this review, including risks from direct exports and scrap otherwise available to entities controlled by these countries. The report is also required to provide specific recommendations for Congress and the President on how to effectively mitigate any identified security risks. In conducting its investigation, the Commission must consult with relevant stakeholders, such as private entities in aluminum production and recycling, and labor organizations.
