This bill proposes to amend Title 5 of the United States Code, specifically targeting the retirement provisions for United States Capitol Police officers under both the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) and the Federal Employees' Retirement System (FERS) . Currently, Capitol Police officers are subject to mandatory retirement at 60 years of age. The proposed amendment would replace this fixed age with a flexible range, allowing a designated Board to determine the mandatory retirement age. This determined age must fall within a new specified range of not less than 57 years of age and not more than 65 years of age .
