The "Travel Mask Mandate Repeal Act of 2025" aims to prohibit federal agencies from imposing mask mandates on public transportation. Specifically, it states that no federal agency shall require individuals to wear a face mask due to COVID-19 when utilizing any conveyance or transportation hub, as defined by federal regulations. Furthermore, this Act immediately nullifies all existing federal mask orders related to public transportation. This includes the January 29, 2021, order from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and any related directives or emergency amendments from the Transportation Security Administration. Upon enactment, these previous mandates will have no legal force or effect.
