This bill directs the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to regularly provide the Mayor of the District of Columbia with crucial information about D.C. code offenders under federal jurisdiction. Every 90 days, the BOP must furnish details such as the individual's name, age, housing facility, and scheduled release date to aid in reentry coordination. The Mayor can also request additional information that the BOP shares with the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency. Strict disclosure rules are in place, prohibiting the Mayor from sharing this data outside the D.C. government or with any D.C. law enforcement agency. However, the Mayor is explicitly authorized to provide this information to legal counsel for the individuals and to organizations assisting with criminal, post-conviction, or reentry matters.
