Food and Nutrition Delivery Safety Act of 2026

This bill amends the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to establish new online and delivery standards for retail food stores and wholesale food concerns authorized to accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Within 18 months, the Administrator of the Food and Nutrition Service must develop these standards, which will ensure safe and secure use of online platforms for SNAP participants, focusing on digital privacy and cybersecurity . Additionally, delivery standards will promote fair and safe working conditions for employees, including paying prevailing wages , and keep food safe and secure during delivery. The Secretary will require SNAP-authorized entities to submit reports demonstrating compliance with these standards. Failure to comply will result in the loss of SNAP authorization, though reapplication is possible upon demonstrating adherence.
