Superfund Area Facts and Exposure Act

This bill mandates the Comptroller General of the United States to undertake a comprehensive study. The primary objective of this study is to ascertain the precise number of residential dwelling units, including those specifically designated as public housing, that are situated within a one-mile radius of any site listed on the National Priorities List, commonly known as a Superfund site . Following the completion of this detailed analysis, the Comptroller General is required to compile and submit a comprehensive report to Congress. This report must be delivered within six months of the bill's enactment and will specifically identify, for each Superfund site, the total count of both residential and public housing units found within the specified one-mile proximity.
