Summary

This bill mandates that the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) conduct a comprehensive review of how the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) is implemented with respect to the HOME Investment Partnerships Program . This review must be completed within 180 days of the bill's enactment to assess BABA's impact on activities assisted under the HOME program. Subsequently, HUD is required to issue updated guidance within 90 days of completing the review to clarify BABA's application to these affordable housing initiatives. Finally, within 270 days of enactment, the Secretary must submit a detailed report to specific congressional committees, outlining both the results of the review and the guidance provided to ensure clarity and compliance for the HOME program.
