This bill amends the Puyallup Tribe of Indians Settlement Act of 1989 to clarify the management of the Tribe's trust fund. It explicitly permits the Puyallup Tribe of Indians to withdraw amounts from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians Settlement Trust Fund . These withdrawals must be conducted in accordance with the American Indian Trust Fund Management Reform Act of 1994 and require a management plan approved by the Secretary. Furthermore, the bill includes a savings provision to ensure that the 1989 Settlement Act does not impede future interactions between the United States and the Tribe. This provision clarifies that the U.S. can engage with the Tribe, on the same basis as other federally recognized Indian Tribes, under any federal law enacted after the bill's effective date.
