Frank Siller Congressional Gold Medal Act

This bill proposes to award a Congressional Gold Medal to Frank Siller, acknowledging his significant contributions to memorialize those lost in the tragic events of 9/11 and to support affected families. He founded the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in honor of his brother, Stephen Siller, a firefighter who died on 9/11, dedicating the organization to assisting America's first responders, military service members, and their families. Under Siller's leadership, the Foundation has undertaken various initiatives, including paying off mortgages for fallen first responders and Gold Star families, building homes for injured veterans, and providing housing assistance to homeless veterans. His personal commitment was further demonstrated by his 2021 "Never Forget Walk" from the Pentagon to Ground Zero, reinforcing a national commitment to remembrance and service. The legislation directs the Secretary of the Treasury to design and strike the gold medal, also authorizing the production and sale of bronze duplicates to the public.
