Fill the Lake Act

This legislation mandates the Secretary of the Interior to regulate the water levels of Flathead Lake in Montana during the summer season. Specifically, from June 15 through September 15 annually, the Secretary must ensure a precise range for the lake's pool level. This includes maintaining a minimum lake level of 2892' MSL by supplying water from Hungry Horse Reservoir. Concurrently, the bill requires a maximum lake level of 2893' MSL , which is to be achieved by releasing any excess water downstream. The overall purpose is to ensure consistent and controlled water levels in Flathead Lake for a significant portion of the year.
