These reports are intended to provide comprehensive oversight on the administration of housing loan benefits under laws administered by the Secretary. Each quarterly report must include specific data points for the preceding quarter. This includes the number of housing loans insured, guaranteed, or made by the Secretary, as well as the number of applications for housing loan benefits that were denied. Furthermore, the bill requires reporting on the number of housing loans refinanced under specific sections of title 38. It also mandates tracking the number of veterans with mortgage payments that are at least 60 days late and those that are 90 days late . Finally, the reports must detail the number of full-time employees within the VA Home Loan Guaranty Service, or any successor office, ensuring transparency regarding staffing levels for this critical program.
