It expands eligibility for the Health Care for Homeless Veterans program by incorporating services authorized under section 2031 of title 38, United States Code, thereby broadening the scope of covered support. Crucially, the legislation makes two significant programs permanent by striking their sunset provisions. These include the Health Care for Homeless Veterans program itself, as detailed in section 2031, and the program offering additional services for homeless veterans under section 2033. This action ensures continuous and comprehensive support for a vulnerable veteran population, removing the need for periodic reauthorization.
