Updated: Jan 27, 2026

Summary

This bill directs the Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to undertake a comprehensive review of specific approved immigration benefit requests. The review focuses on requests implicated in Presidential Proclamation 10998 , which restricts the entry of foreign nationals to protect U.S. security. These requests must have been approved during the period beginning January 20, 2021 , and ending on the bill's enactment date. The primary purpose of this mandated review is to ensure that all such immigration benefit requests were properly adjudicated and that applicable standards were correctly applied throughout the approval process. To ensure transparency and accountability, the USCIS Director is required to provide an in-person briefing to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees on the review's findings. Additionally, a comprehensive report detailing the results of this review must be made publicly available online by September 15, 2026 .
