AIRSHIP Act

The "AIRSHIP Act" seeks to significantly advance aeronautical research and technology within the United States, with a particular focus on airships . This legislation aims to improve safety, reduce noise, enhance resiliency, and mitigate environmental impacts across U.S. aviation systems. It reflects a Congressional belief that airships can contribute to sustainable cargo transport, disaster response, and humanitarian aid, offering practical and environmentally friendly transportation solutions. To achieve these goals, the bill amends Section 40112 of Title 51, United States Code, by explicitly including "airship" in the scope of aeronautical research and development.
