Fair Wages for Farmworkers Act

This bill revises the methodology for calculating the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR) paid to H-2A agricultural guest workers. It specifically directs the Secretary of Labor to use State occupational employment and wage estimates from the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics Survey for this calculation. Additionally, the legislation aims to streamline the H-2A visa application process by allowing for concurrent review. It authorizes the Secretary of Homeland Security to begin processing petitions for H-2A workers while the Department of Labor simultaneously processes the required labor certification application. This change is intended to improve the efficiency and speed of the H-2A program.
