These funds are specifically earmarked for two primary purposes: construction and maintenance of the covered highways and parking facilities within the National Park System unit where the citation occurred, and the installation, repair, and maintenance of the speed safety cameras themselves. The bill also permits the Secretary to enter into agreements with external entities for the management and upkeep of these camera systems. Crucially, the implementation and operation of these speed safety cameras must strictly adhere to the State laws of the jurisdiction in which the applicable portion of the covered highway is situated.
