Transitioning Reservists to Active or Inactive National Service for Enhanced Readiness (TRANSFER) Act

This legislation amends title 32, United States Code, to mandate the creation of regulations by the Secretaries of the Army and Air Force. These regulations will govern the transfer of officers within their respective National Guard components. Specifically, officers of the Army National Guard and Air Force National Guard will be able to transfer between active and inactive status. These transfers are applicable to officers filling vacancies in federally recognized units . The bill aims to provide greater flexibility in managing officer personnel and enhance readiness for National Guard forces.
