American Products in Parks Act

This legislation, effective one year after its enactment, requires that all products offered for sale in gift shops and visitor centers within the National Park System must be produced in the United States. This mandate aims to support domestic manufacturing and sourcing for items sold in these federal facilities. To qualify, products must meet stringent criteria, including having their final assembly or processing occur in the United States, along with all significant processing. Additionally, the bill stipulates that all or virtually all ingredients or components of these products must be made and sourced domestically. The Secretary of the Interior is tasked with establishing comprehensive certification, audit, and enforcement procedures to ensure compliance with these new standards.
