Congressional Budget Office Scheduling Reform Act

This bill aims to increase transparency regarding the release of critical financial documents by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) by amending the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974. It mandates that the CBO Director publish an annual schedule of expected publication dates for major recurring reports. By December 31st of each calendar year, this schedule must be posted on the CBO's public website and include key documents such as the budget baseline and its updates, the report on options to reduce the deficit , and the report on the accuracy of budgetary projections . It also requires scheduling for the report on programs with unauthorized appropriations. The Director is authorized to update this schedule as necessary throughout the calendar year following its initial publication, ensuring timely and accurate information for the public and Congress.
