Summary
This bill, known as the "Service Academies District of Columbia Equality Act," aims to significantly enhance opportunities for individuals from the District of Columbia to attend the nation's military service academies. It specifically amends Title 10 of the United States Code to adjust the appointment quotas for these prestigious institutions. The legislation proposes to increase the number of appointments available to District of Columbia residents for the United States Military Academy , the United States Naval Academy , and the United States Air Force Academy . For each of these academies, the current limit of five appointments for DC is proposed to be expanded to fifteen .
