Water Cybersecurity Enhancement Act of 2025

This legislation aims to bolster the security and resilience of public water systems against modern threats by amending Section 1433(g) of the Safe Drinking Water Act, which governs the Drinking Water Infrastructure Risk and Resilience Program. The bill extends the availability of grants under this program, changing the eligible period from "2020 and 2021" to " 2026 through 2031 ." Crucially, it expands the scope of activities eligible for these grants to include participation in training programs and the purchase of related materials. These new eligible activities specifically focus on protecting community water systems from cyberattacks and enhancing their ability to respond to such incidents , thereby strengthening critical water infrastructure.
