Federal Government Advertising Equity Accountability Act

United States119th CongressHR-5805House of Representatives
Updated: Oct 21, 2025

Summary

This legislation requires each executive agency to submit a comprehensive report on its advertising service expenditures as part of its annual budget submission. This new reporting requirement will be added to section 1105(a) of title 31, United States Code, ensuring regular disclosure of these financial details. The report must detail both prior fiscal year expenditures and estimated current fiscal year expenditures for all contracts for advertising services . Crucially, it also mandates separate reporting for contracts awarded to socially and economically disadvantaged small business concerns and to women- and minority-owned businesses . This amendment will apply to reports submitted for fiscal year 2027 and all subsequent fiscal years, aiming to promote greater accountability and equitable distribution of federal advertising contracts.
