Health Providers Training Act

This legislative proposal aims to expand the types of organizations eligible to receive Health Profession Opportunity Grants (HPOGs) under the Social Security Act. Specifically, it amends Section 2008(a)(4)(A) of the Act to explicitly include hospitals , as defined in section 1861(e), among the entities that can be awarded these grants.
