This legislation extends the authorization for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs for an additional year. Specifically, it amends the Small Business Act to shift the expiration date for both programs from September 30, 2025, to September 30, 2026. The bill also extends the duration of several key related initiatives and pilot programs under SBIR and STTR. These include provisions for Phase Flexibility , the Commercialization Readiness Program for Civilian Agencies Pilot Program , Accelerated Awards , and Phase 0 Pilot Program . Additionally, extensions are granted for administrative assistance, increased minimum performance standards, commercialization assistance pilot programs, and the due diligence program, ensuring their continued operation through fiscal year 2026.
