Union Participation for All Act

The "Union Participation for All Act" proposes to repeal Section 504 of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 . This specific section currently imposes restrictions, preventing individuals convicted of certain serious crimes or those affiliated with the Communist Party from holding positions of trust within labor organizations or employer associations for a set duration. By eliminating these prohibitions, the legislation aims to broaden the eligibility criteria for holding office in labor organizations .
