Safe Students Act

The "Safe Students Act" is designed to repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990 , along with all subsequent amendments to that Act. This is primarily achieved by striking subsection (q) from Section 922 of title 18, United States Code, which currently establishes federal gun-free school zones. The bill also mandates several related amendments to other sections of title 18, including Section 921(a) and Section 924(a). These changes systematically remove definitions, references, and penalties specifically associated with the Gun-Free School Zones Act, thereby eliminating its provisions from federal statute.
