Modernize Diplomatic Security Training Act

This bill amends the Omnibus Diplomatic Security and Antiterrorism Act of 1986 to enhance the counterintelligence capabilities of certain special agents. It mandates that Diplomatic Security special agents receive specific, substantive, and mandatory counterintelligence training . This training is specifically required for agents assigned to positions with a primary counterintelligence role or those deployed to high-risk, high-threat diplomatic posts . The Department of State's Office of Counterintelligence will be responsible for providing this essential training, aiming to bolster security measures and preparedness in challenging environments.
