Summary
This legislation, known as the Data BRIDGE Act , mandates that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) enhance its existing National Broadband Map. Within 180 days of the bill's enactment, the FCC is required to integrate a new data layer specifically identifying the location of agricultural areas across the United States. To ensure accuracy and comprehensive data integration, the Commission must engage in consultations with several key entities. These include the Secretary of Agriculture , the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information, representatives from various States, and other relevant stakeholders as deemed appropriate by the FCC.
