This legislation mandates a comprehensive prohibition on the export of specific medical supplies to the Russian Federation. The bill directs the President to prevent the shipment of any drug or prosthetic , including their respective components, to Russia. For the purposes of this Act, a drug is defined as one approved under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act or the Public Health Service Act, while a prosthetic refers to a medical device that replaces or improves body parts and is authorized by the Food and Drug Administration. This export prohibition will remain in effect until the Secretary of State certifies to Congress that the Russian Federation has ceased all military operations in Ukraine and withdrawn its military forces from the country.
