This legislation directs the Secretary of Education to reissue the solicitation and award a contract for the "Charting My Path for Future Success" project within 90 days. This project, initially awarded under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, aims to help families and high schools support students with disabilities in achieving their goals during and after high school. The program trains educators to assist students in setting goals, developing action plans, and reflecting on their progress. As of January 2025, this initiative had already engaged 61 educators who were assisting 1,600 high school students in 62 schools across 13 local educational agencies. A significant provision of this bill is that any contract awarded under its authority cannot be canceled without the explicit approval of Congress.
