Next Generation Farmer Act

The "Next Generation Farmer Act" proposes amendments to the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act, specifically designed to ease access to farm ownership loans for beginning farmers and ranchers. This waiver can be granted if the applicant possesses at least one year of experience as hired farm labor with substantial management responsibilities, or if they are engaged in an approved mentorship program with an experienced farmer or a relevant organization.
