To amend title 18, United States Code, to include rioting in the definition of racketeering activity.

The proposed legislation aims to broaden the scope of federal racketeering laws by amending Section 1961(1) of title 18, United States Code. This section currently defines what constitutes "racketeering activity" under federal statutes. By inserting "section 2101 (relating to riots)," into this definition, the bill would classify rioting as a predicate offense for prosecution under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act . This amendment would provide federal authorities with an additional legal tool to address and prosecute organized or widespread instances of rioting.
