Sustainable Aviation Fuel Information Act

This bill, titled the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Information Act, aims to enhance transparency regarding sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) by requiring the public disclosure of relevant data. It directs the Secretary of Energy, through the Energy Information Administration (EIA), to incorporate comprehensive SAF information into its regular petroleum reports, including the "Petroleum Supply Monthly" and "Weekly Petroleum Status Report." Specifically, the EIA must report on the type, origin, and volume of feedstocks used in SAF production, both domestically by state and nationally, and to the maximum extent practicable, in foreign countries. Additionally, the bill mandates reporting on the total amounts of SAF produced within each state and the United States, and the total amounts imported from various foreign countries. All reported data must adhere to reliable statistical sampling techniques and prevent double counting of feedstocks or fuel, ensuring accuracy and consistency in the information provided to the public.
