CURE Act

This bill aims to significantly enhance the administration , oversight , and impact of opioid use disorder grants provided under the 21st Century Cures Act. It mandates the Secretary to develop a standardized system for data collection , requiring States receiving grants to submit quarterly reports. These reports must detail the purposes of expenditures, the ultimate recipients including subrecipients' identifying information, and the number of individuals served, with the Secretary encouraged to use existing Federal grant-tracking systems to avoid duplication. Additionally, the legislation amends reporting requirements to Congress, ensuring that reports include comprehensive information on the activities of all grant recipients and subrecipients , along with the specific funding levels provided to each entity, thereby increasing transparency and accountability.
