This bill requires the Secretary of Homeland Security to conduct a comprehensive border threat assessment on the transnational criminal organization Tren de Aragua . This assessment, due within 180 days of enactment, must identify current and potential criminal threats posed by its members and affiliates seeking to unlawfully enter the United States or exploit border vulnerabilities across all U.S. borders. The assessment will detail the organization's origins, strategic aims, tactical methods, funding sources, leadership structure, and its growth and presence within the United States. Following this, within one year, the Secretary must submit a strategic plan to Congress. This plan will outline efforts to counter the identified threats, focusing on mitigating criminal activities from transnational criminal organizations, including Tren de Aragua. It will also address analyzing and disseminating border security information among federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies. Furthermore, the plan will include strategies to locate, detect, interdict, disrupt, and ultimately prevent the proliferation of Tren de Aragua and similar organizations within the United States.
