Veterans Full-Service Care and Access Act of 2025

This legislation, titled the "Veterans Full-Service Care and Access Act of 2025," aims to significantly improve healthcare access for veterans across the 48 contiguous states. It mandates that the Secretary of Veterans Affairs ensure each of these states provides veterans with hospital care and medical services from at least one full-service Veterans Health Administration (VHA) hospital located within its borders. If a VHA hospital is not available, the bill requires that comparable services be provided through contract with other healthcare providers in the state, ensuring no veteran is left without comprehensive care options. Furthermore, the bill includes conforming amendments to the existing Veterans Community Care Program to align with these new requirements. It also directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to submit a report to Congress within one year of enactment, detailing the extent of compliance with these provisions and assessing their effect on improving the quality and standards of care for veterans.
