American Land and Property Protection Act

This bill aims to prevent certain foreign entities and individuals from acquiring real estate within the United States. It directs the President to implement measures prohibiting the purchase of both public and private real estate by nonresident aliens , foreign businesses , and any agent, trustee, or fiduciary connected to specified foreign governments. The legislation specifically targets governments identified as foreign adversaries , including the People's Republic of China (with Hong Kong but excluding Taiwan), the Russian Federation, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Additionally, the prohibition extends to the Republic of Cuba, Venezuelan politician Nicolas Maduro, and any organization designated as a foreign terrorist organization. The bill broadly defines "United States" to encompass all states, districts, commonwealths, and territories, ensuring comprehensive coverage for these real estate restrictions.
