The legislation establishes mandatory funding for the initiative, to be drawn from the Commodity Credit Corporation. It allocates specific amounts for several fiscal years, beginning with $25,000,000 for fiscal year 2026 and increasing incrementally. The funding schedule includes $30,000,000 for fiscal year 2027 , $35,000,000 for fiscal year 2028 , and $40,000,000 for fiscal year 2029 . From fiscal year 2030 onwards, the initiative will receive a consistent $50,000,000 annually to support its operations and ensure continued investment in healthy food access.
