This bill proposes to amend the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to enhance support for critical water management initiatives. Specifically, it aims to provide both technical and financial assistance for projects focused on groundwater recharge, aquifer storage, and water source substitution. To achieve this, the legislation authorizes the transfer of $3,000,000 annually from unobligated balances of existing funds made available under the Act. This funding will be available to the Secretary for fiscal years 2026 through 2031 , enabling the implementation of these vital water sustainability projects.
