To provide for the equitable settlement of certain Indian land disputes regarding land in Illinois, and for other purposes.

This bill establishes a mechanism for the equitable settlement of a specific land dispute involving the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and land in Illinois. It grants the United States Court of Federal Claims jurisdiction to hear a land claim by the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma stemming from the Treaty of Grouseland of 1805 . This jurisdiction explicitly waives the statute of limitations and any other delay-based defenses, allowing the claim to proceed regardless of when it arose. The Miami Tribe must file this specific land claim within one year of the Act's enactment, or the special jurisdiction will expire. Crucially, except for the claim filed under this provision, all other current and future land claims by the Miami Tribe or its predecessors to land in Illinois are extinguished .
