This bill, known as the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation Funding Eligibility Act , aims to expand the funding opportunities for the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation (USRC). It specifically makes the USRC eligible to receive grants under several key federal transportation programs, including the Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant program , National Infrastructure Project Assistance grants , Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvement (CRISI) grants , and Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail grants . A significant provision of the bill is that for any grants awarded to the USRC under these programs, the federal share of the project costs will be 100 percent , providing full federal funding for eligible projects undertaken by the Corporation.
