This bill, known as the "Special Interest Alien Reporting Act of 2025," mandates that the Secretary of Homeland Security publish monthly reports concerning "special interest aliens." These individuals are defined as aliens who, based on an analysis of travel patterns, potentially pose a national security risk to the United States or its interests. Beginning the first full month after enactment, these reports must be publicly available and submitted to congressional committees by the seventh day of each month. They are required to detail the total number of special interest aliens encountered, their nationalities, and disaggregate this data by geographic region and specific encounter location, such as at or between ports of entry. Additionally, the first report must include historical data from January 20, 2021, through January 19, 2025, to provide a broader context.
