This legislation directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to establish a temporary, seven-year program to furnish headstones, burial markers, or medallions for certain veterans. This program specifically targets veterans who were eligible for burial in a national cemetery, died on or after December 7, 1941 , and before November 1, 1990 , and for whom a marker has not yet been provided. It waives a previous restriction that prevented the furnishing of markers for veterans who died before November 1, 1990. During this seven-year period, the Department of Veterans Affairs must also update the National Cemetery Administration's website to clearly indicate the expanded eligibility for these burial benefits. Furthermore, the bill extends the limit on certain pension payments by approximately three months, changing the date from November 30, 2031, to February 29, 2032.
