Youth Suicide Prevention Research Act

The Youth Suicide Prevention Research Act aims to enhance research efforts related to childhood suicide prevention. It specifically amends the existing Advancing Research to Prevent Suicide Act to broaden the scope of studies conducted by the National Science Foundation. This legislation directs the NSF to include a basic understanding of the role of adverse childhood experiences and toxic stress in childhood as new areas of focus.
