This legislation aims to amend the Oregon Resource Conservation Act of 1996 to extend the operational period of the Deschutes River Conservancy Working Group. The bill reauthorizes the Working Group until 2032 , significantly extending its previous authorization which expired in 2016. It also increases the maximum percentage of funds that can be used for administrative costs from 5 percent to 10 percent , providing greater flexibility for the group's operations. Furthermore, the bill redefines the composition of the Working Group's board of directors, ensuring diverse representation. The board will consist of 10 to 15 members, including representatives from the environmental community, irrigated agriculture, the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation, hydroelectric production, federal and state agencies, and local government within the Deschutes River Basin.
