This bill mandates the Secretary of Health and Human Services to implement a coordinated, national public health education, awareness, and outreach campaign. The primary goal of this campaign is to enhance access to abortion and related health services by providing comprehensive and medically accurate information. It will educate the public on where and how to access abortion, including medication abortion and telehealth, clarify the legality and availability of these services, and inform patients about their rights to travel across state lines for care. Furthermore, the campaign will teach individuals how to differentiate legitimate providers from anti-abortion centers, identify misinformation regarding reproductive health, and protect sensitive personal health information. Designed to be culturally competent and accessible for underserved communities , including communities of color, LGBTQI+ individuals, and those in rural areas, the campaign will not promote misinformation about abortion safety or abstinence-only education. The Secretary is required to consult with licensed healthcare professionals and nonprofit organizations focused on reproductive rights and justice during its implementation.
