The Fortifying Refrigeration Infrastructure and Developing Global Exports Act of 2025, or the FRIDGE Act of 2025 , aims to overcome limitations in foreign market infrastructure that impede United States agricultural exports. It addresses the significant losses of U.S. food products and restricted market expansion caused by insufficient infrastructure, especially in cold chain systems, in developing countries. This bill authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture to provide technical assistance through contracts with eligible trade organizations to improve infrastructure in new and developing foreign markets. This includes needs assessments, training, and support for enhancing cold chain capacity and port improvements to prevent damage and loss of U.S. agricultural commodities. The legislation authorizes $1,000,000 annually for fiscal years 2026 through 2030 to fund these crucial infrastructure improvement efforts.
