Veterans Homecare Choice Act of 2025

This legislation aims to enhance veterans' access to home-based care by directing the Department of Veterans Affairs to recognize nurse registries within the Veterans Community Care Program . It amends existing law to include these registries as eligible providers, thereby expanding the choices available to veterans needing in-home support. The bill specifies that services furnished through a nurse registry, including those provided by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, home health aides, companions, or homemakers , will be covered. Additionally, it defines a "nurse registry" as an entity that secures contracts for these professionals to provide healthcare-related or assistive services, requiring them to meet all applicable State licensure requirements .
